THAT 70'S SEW

I bought this dress at a H&M sale for a steal of a deal ($7!!). I bought it in a large size, about 5 sizes larger than i normally wear so that i would have extra fabric to work with.

It started out as a tank top dress. (I didn't get a pic a the beginning but this what after it was taken in)

First I took the sides in to fit me.
Then I used the extra fabric from the sides to make some bell sleeves.
This dress probably belongs on that 70's show but I still like it's vibes.

I made a huge classic mistake on this dress and accidentally cut the fabric on the waist while meaning to trim somewhere else. My mom helped me mend it by putting some extra fabric beneath and using a fabric glue spray. I had to sewing it a little for extra strength. I doesn't look great but at lease the busy fabric hides it well.
*The fabric glue spray was from Joann's and it's super useful
