LACE FACE

As a bridesmaid in my sisters wedding she got me a beautiful white lace skirt to wear at the reception. I loved it but felt like it was too fancy and poofy for me to wear in my everyday life... But the lace was gorgeous and I loved the bow on it so of course I couldn't waste it.

So I decided to make it into a pencil skirt! Heres what I did:

• unpicked the waistband with the bow and zipper
• measured the fabric to fit around me like a pencil skirt
• sewed the waistband back on shifting the zipper and bow to the side
• took darts in the back too fit around my lower back tighter

I am so happy with how it turned out! Also because the original skirt had so much fabric I have a lot leftover to make another skirt hopefully soon!
