But I bought it anyway! I was determined to fix it to fit me better. I bought two dresses because it was the only way to get matching fabric. So heres what I did:
- Shortened the straps to make the neck higher (after this it was super short)
- Sewed on lace cap sleeves
- Added a strap of fabric to the middle section of the dress to elongate the torso and make the dress longer
- Added a layer of lace beneath the original skirt to make it longer
It was quite a bit of work but I am really glad I did it now because it is one of my favorite dresses! I got some of my senior pictures taken in it.
